Dinner Dance
The Dinner Dance is an annual benefit hosted by the Sickle Cell/Thalassemia Patients Network (SCTPN).
Ticket prices average $100 a plate and $2,000 a table.
Goals
-
Honor individuals whose exemplary work benefit our community while easing the hardship sickle cell imposes on its community.
-
Maintain and build relationships between the public and those affected by sickle cell disease which can foster a better understanding and trust for those who provide service and care for patients and their families.
-
Raise funds to provide scholarships for the adolescent population and increase the incentive of children in Grade, Elementary, and High School by offering monetary prices for a yearly essay competition.
-
Increase sponsorships from corporate and privately-held businesses to cover the cost of the event so that funds collected can be utilized for the purpose for which it is intended, which is primarily to award scholarship to students who apply for and are qualified to be recipients of the organizations’ scholarship.
The annual event is held the last week in March and generally hosted by caterers who help to promote the function by providing the best ambiance and service for SCTPN clients, family and friends.
